- The Soviet architecture was quite something (although they had me stay in the nearby annex, which felt like I was in an abandoned cottage - no bad thing). The young lady at reception when I arrived had good English and was extremely helpful. My stay in Karaganda was more to visit nearby Dolinka and Temirtau than for the city itself, so being very nearby some commonly-used bus stops was nice.
